Our Institute began its educational activities as of the 2008–2009 academic year. The Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences is responsible for carrying out graduate education and training activities within the framework of Article 19 of Law No. 2547, Article 35 as amended by Law No. 2880, the “Regulation on the Organization and Operation of Graduate Education Institutes,” and the “Regulation on Graduate Education.”
Among its primary objectives are training academic staff for Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, as well as educating a qualified workforce for the province of Nevşehir and its surrounding region. It will serve regional and national development through a talented workforce equipped with scientific methods and the ability to interpret existing knowledge for the benefit of society.
Our Mission
The mission of our Institute is to train personnel equipped with new knowledge, educated according to scientific criteria, for universities, other public and private sectors, industry, and production centers. For this purpose, it attaches importance to cooperation with national and international institutions, supports the admission and increase in the number of qualified students, makes efforts to establish all necessary infrastructure for graduate education, encourages thesis studies to be oriented toward the priorities of our country and supported by projects, makes arrangements to ensure that graduate students are trained in an interdisciplinary manner, and promotes this approach. In addition, it supports joint projects with public and private sectors in order to enrich interdisciplinary research activities.

It aims to educate, at universal standards, professionals and researchers for society who are highly qualified, have well-developed research skills, are creative, entrepreneurial, and inclined to teamwork, and, together with the development of analytical and innovative thinking abilities of individuals receiving graduate education, to ensure access to knowledge for scientific and technological development, to increase scientific and practical productivity, and primarily to conduct research that will contribute to the development of our country and to world science.
